I didn't make an 'about me' section before because I didn't find it very necessary. Now since some visitors have emailed me asking who I am I think it's more convenient to introduce a little about myself here.

My name is An. I'm a 20 year old wandering girl who will soon get her BA and hopefully Ph.D in math and physics. In short, I'm an engineer to be. I am not a film student or anything though I did take some film classes in Europe, but only for fun. Everybody who knows me knows that I'm fascinated by Russian cinema and many other weird things that you may not want to hear about. In my free time, I play the violin and paint. 

Now although many sources have said Hedy Lamarr was an innovative scientific inventor, I believe her invention was leaning more toward engineering, which is where my interest in her came from. My father is a mathematician and ever since I was a  little kid I have always been fascinated by math and physics and technology which have had the great power to change the world. The fact that an innovative and fantastic technological idea actually came from the actress who I consider the most beautiful is something I find completely fascinating.

This fan website was born because I found out that there were too many misunderstandings about miss Lamarr caused by various misleading information from many untrustworthy sources. Like George Antheil, Hedy Lamarr's co-inventor, once said of her, "The Hedy Lamarr we know is not the Hedy Lamarr you know" I do hope that I can attain some positive progress toward making the world understand rightly about this interesting woman, toward showing them the real Hedy Lamarr that George Antheil and all her friends and people dear to her knew, not the mask that MGM put on her. Because I believe that (and I quoted George again) "you would love her, if you REALLY know her."
